Our house sits on the banks of the Hudson. Wear good shoes…like sneakers. Bring boating shoes if you want to swim, kayak, paddleboard, motorboat or explore the riverbank. If you want to bring your own float-able, do that too. We have a nice dock to launch from. You can park your car in the town parking lot adjacent to our property.  We’ll pick you up at the train station in Hudson if you want to train-it upstate. Tenting on land is fine. I still have some rooms with friends and neighbors in their homes or you can make your own hotel reservations. (List on next page). Mostly bring yourselves and sunshine. We’ll have plenty of food, liquid and music.

Local places of interest: Bard College (5 miles south) Designed by Frank Gehry the Fischer Arts Center at Bard is pretty amazing. Leon Botstein, college president is also head of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Olana: 5 miles north of us. Olana is the home of the Hudson River Valley painter, Fredric Church. Athens Lighthouse: One of eight working lighthouses on the Hudson River – there are tours on Saturday. Rhinebeck: historic town with Beekman Arms Hotel as its centerpiece. Clermont: Home of Robert Livingston, one of the signers of the Declaration. Discover lovely gardens and house tours. Hudson: the Brooklyn of the Hudson Valley, adorably hip.
